‘Sheep’-shape…

Fake Economy Tinahely Arts Group Sheep Flock by Irene LundgaardI should be ‘sheep’-shape for next Friday, but my hands are in bits at this stage. Weaving the turf briquette ties is no joke. I’m still at it all the same although we are launching the Tinahely Sheep Flock this coming Friday evening at 6.30 on the Market Square in Tinahely and we will be on Nationwide at the same time. An all Ireland sheep flock launch. Fantastic!

I should also get going for the Tinahely Arts and Craft Fair on Sunday April 30th from 11 am – 5 pm. The question is if it’s possible to add a few extra hours to the next few days, I think I’ll have to.

As you can see in the little sample picture, the colouring of my sheep is not for the faint hearted. It’s called Fake Economy as we yarnies realize the beauty and quality of natural fibre as opposed to the oil based variety…
