Gadgets I Love

I like gadgets and good tools and at this stage I really do have a rather nice selection. My very favourite tool collection is my set of Clover Soft Touch crochet hooks. They are perhaps not the most aesthetically pleasing when it comes to the colour of them, but the engineering of the actual head and the handle makes them second to none to crochet with.

I also have a few other gadgets like a swift and a yarn winder and recently my lovely mother gave me this gadget, which I love. It’s wooden and natural and makes very little sound and it’s just smooth in every respect and it’s a yarn ball holder.

I love it. It is most certainly aesthetically pleasing and it’s made by a singing wood turner. My mother knows exactly what makes me tick and this time she was spot on! No more balls of yarn rolling around the floor!

Note: I do not know where my mother bought this, but can find out if you are interested – just leave a comment here and I will get back to you with the details.

    Hi Irene
I would very much like to know where your mother bought this gadget.

And it has a little spindle so the yarn can go ’round and ’round! Cool!

    Your mother rocks.

Hi Vera!!! Great to hear from you and apologies for not responding sooner, but your message somehow landed in Spam-land where I only just spotted it.
My mother got it from a wood turner on the island of Mors. I will get the contact details and send them to you!
    Hope you are really well!

Nic, rocking is right. I love the easy turn of it – twirl-twirl-twirl!
