Tea Cosy Preview

The last couple of weeks have been on the hectic side and I have not had as much time to get patterns written as I would have liked – and I have a few on the boil! Not a good scenario…

However, it’s coming up for the National Tea Cosy Competition here in Ireland and I have decided to enter a couple of tea-cosies, just for the fun of it. One of my entries is going to be released as a pattern and to add a bit of extra pressure on myself, I thought I would bring a wee preview picture here, just to focus my mind.  It is not a complex pattern, just a simple, cheerful tea cosy.

The competition entries may be sold after the event and all proceeds will go to Aware, who are helping to defeat depression if entrants donate the money their tea cosy fetches at the sale. It is a cause very near and dear to my heart and I think it such an inspired charity choice in the context.

The deadline for entries to the competition is this coming Wednesday, are you going to enter your tea cosy too?
I dare you! 😉

  1. Being a staunch coffee drinker I will abstain, but what a worthy cause – and a worthy winner too. 🙂

    Hi Irene
I will stand at my door with anticipation…no pressure, the entries have been so varied and all fantastic in their own way.
Thank you for supporting the competition and yes Aware are a great charity to support!

Tina, the cause is a great choice and honestly, I doubt it’s a winner, but that’s beside the point, it’s a great idea! As for the coffee drinking aspect of matters, perhaps there could be two categories next year – no pressure Karen! 😉

Karen, no pressure indeed. I made the post today and sent you two cosies! I hope the event will be really well attended and who knows, perhaps this can be a true annual event! Here’s hoping!

MEGET nær. Jeg håber du vinder.

Fuur, jeg tvivler på jeg vinder, men jeg er skam glad for at være med, det er alt nok! Og sjovt!
