My friend Margarete and I have organised a Christmas Spirit Fair at the Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely for some years and this year is no exception. We have beautiful stalls with all sorts of splendid crafts and perhaps we will see you there too.

Yesterday saw our Sixth annual Christmas Spirit Fair at Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely, and what a spirit it was! The un-gritted mountain roads were black ice treacherous making movement fairly lethal. Never mind; Wicklow people are very special spirits as it turned out.

I am working on a bunch of ruffled skinny scarves for the Christmas Spirit Market in Tinahely on Sunday December 13th. It’s great fun and I find the combination of Artesano Aran weight, a size 8 mm hook and the hyperbolic technique works a treat. I finish each off with mohair for added effect.
