The Biggest Hook In The House

I’m preparing the final few  items for the workshops at the weekend, the colours are cheeky and the yarn is substantial and I’m using the biggest hooks in the house for it!

Once I get the ends sewn away and a bit of blocking done, they may even make a proper appearance here! Big hooks are fun to work with. I love fine work, but big hooks are just great for that spot of instant gratification!

Happy Christmas

This is a simple greeting, wishing you Peace and Joy over Christmas. I also thank you for the year that went, it was a fun and fulfilling year and you were part of making it just that. I wish you Happiness and Health for 2011, a brand new year to explore with yarn and hook and imagination.

A little last minute inspiration:
Crochet a quick woollen bowl, fill it with tea-lights to keep the recipient warm, or perhaps even chocolate. Pick a laurel leaf, use it as a greeting card and tie it on a bag with a bit of greenery and a slip of red woollen yarn. Simple, but effective Christmas cheer.

Christmas Fair Prepare

I am busy making hats and scarves and fun little flowers for the Christmas Spirit Fair in the Tinahely Courthouse Arts Centre this coming Sunday December 13th. The doors will open to the punters at 11 to 5 and a Christmas variety of pretty, locally made goods will be on offer. There will be wood turning, ornaments, honey, jewellery, pottery, knitwear and much more. There will even be refreshments available and a raffle in aid of the local Senior Citizen Christmas Dinner too.

I just spoke to my accomplished and I think we have matters quite well under control… I think… I really do!
